1. You will get SLEEP.

The best part about overnight nanny care is that we arrive and take care of everything for you so that you can get a full night of uninterrupted sleep. No waking up numerous times, consciously listening for the baby monitor in the background, peeking over to check on your grunting squirmy newborn, or hours Googling all the newborn questions. A dedicated, loving nanny specifically trained for overnight infant care will tend to your little one(s) every need while you get the rest needed to take on the day ahead.

Even with using a night nanny just a couple of nights a week, parents report such a difference in their clarity, ability to handle the next day (especially if there are older siblings in the house or they have returned to work), and overall physical well-being. This sleep becomes especially important for any moms experiencing postpartum depression or recovering from a difficult delivery. Even with twins and triplets, we confidently handle your babies on our own so you can rest.

It can be intimidating to have someone new come into your home and care for your precious baby. Fear of judgement and guilt about asking for help are reservations clients have when deciding on hiring a night nanny. This unfortunately often keeps parents from pursuing care. Our team of passionate, caring nannies are nurturing, patient, and completely understand the complexities of welcoming a new baby to your family. We want to help you, your baby, and your entire family be healthy and happy. Our families quickly build confidence and trust in our ability, and the relationship grows from there.

2. Infant schedule, routine, and sleep consulting is included in your overnight care.

The saying goes that babies don’t come with an instruction manual. (And even Google may not have all the answers.) When you hire our expert team of night nannies, we share our favorite tried and true practices, products, and guidance to minimize your trial and error efforts.  We continue to give you support and tips (if you want them) as long as we are seeing you on a weekly basis. Not only that, but you will be able to have text and email support if you have a question on a day/night that we aren’t scheduled to see you.  This valuable support cuts down the confusion and chaos of trying to sift through baby books that didn’t get read or trying to interpret the ones that did. It reduces wasted money spent on products that don’t deliver and adds clarity in implementing best practices.

3. You can still breastfeed AND benefit from our help.

It may seem like breastfeeding would make overnight help pointless. But when we take over the diaper changes, burping, and settling of the baby back to sleep after feedings (which can take a while with all the gas, grunting, and squirming in those early weeks), mom gets to go back to sleep much sooner. Preparation, washing, and sanitizing bottles and pump parts is another way we save parents time at night when they can otherwise be resting. We work with each client individually to find the right arrangement for them.

4. We welcome twins, triplets, NICU graduates, and preemies.

Whether you have 1, 2, or 3 babies born full-term and completely healthy or who made an early debut and spent time in the NICU adjusting to life outside the womb, we can assist you to make sure your infant(s) are well cared for while you get some much-needed rest.

5. The health and safety of your family is our top priority.

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, the health, safety, and wellbeing of you and your babies has always been at the heart of everything we do. However, we are taking extra precautions during this time. Our nannies utilize cloth face masks, sanitizing, and proper handwashing to deter the spread of germs. Symptom monitoring precautions are taken prior to each shift.

Each family has a no-obligation FREE consultation with me before any scheduled care.  We also have several families that you are welcome to talk directly to about their experience using Indy Night Nanny.  We want you to get to know us and feel comfortable with our service so that you can experience the tremendous benefit others have in getting rest and support during the precious early days with your newborn.
