Indy Night Nanny’s Favorite Summer Infant Products

From beating the heat to navigating family road trips, summer offers all sorts of new adventures for first time parents and those adding to their family. That’s why we asked our Indy Night Nanny team of professional night nannies to share their favorite summer infant products they think every new parent should know about.

As moms themselves and touting decades of combined nanny experience, Indy Night Nanny owner Zaneta Evans and nannies Rachel and Courtney offered these product suggestions for your best summer yet:

Regalo Play Yard

These play yards are spacious enough to fit multiple babies and lots of toys, and they’re also easy to fold, maneuver, and clean. They can be used indoors or out, and when they get dirty, you can throw them in the wash.

Minnidip Pools

The Minnidip pools are larger than the typical kiddie pools, especially when you have multiple babies wanting to splash around or in need of a parent to join them in the pool. They offer a wide variety of colors and cute designs.

Hiccapop Travel Booster

These lightweight travel booster seats can be so helpful on a road trip or even just across town to the grandparents’ house. Their compact design and bag make it a great option for feeding infants in rest areas, hotel rooms, and smaller spaces.

Munchkin Snack Catchers

As soon as you start introducing handheld food and snacks into baby’s diet, you soon learn that snacks can get everywhere! Munchkin bowls make eating on the go easier because of their flexible lid that allows little hands to grab snacks while preventing spills. They’re easy to clean and help keep things contained.

Tagalong Stroller Handle

With multiple kids, venturing out to the park, playground, zoo, or splash pad as a solo parent can create a challenge to keep everyone together and safe. The Tagalong handle helps ease

the situation by creating something for the older child who is capable of walking but may become tired to hold on to. This device makes it a lot easier to let the parent keep both hands on the stroller while offering comfort and safety to the older child.

Seven Minerals Non-Mineral Sunscreen

For babies over six months, or when you can’t avoid sun exposure, this sunscreen offers one of the highest rated non-mineral sunscreens from EWG, so you can feel good about putting it on without dealing with the thickness of mineral sunscreen.

SPF Swimsuit and Hat

There is no better way to avoid a long sunscreen application process than to cover your child with a swimsuit that provides the SPF protection and covers most of their skin. There are so many cute prints that are also functional and come with long sleeves and a hat for even more coverage.

BuzzPatch Mosquito Repellent Patches

The easiest way to repel bugs without covering your children in a bug spray are convenient mosquito repellent patches in cute designs. Suitable for any age, they can be placed on clothing. And because nothing works 100% of the time, if you do get a bite, they also make itch relief patches.

BuzzPatch Itch Relief Patches

These are great for little ones (or big ones) who do have the occasional bite. Place the patch on and have relief from those pesky itches that interrupt your day or your sleep! Cute and convenient, these will become a must have all summer long.

We wish all families a safe, happy, healthy, and restful summer, and we hope these product suggestions will make it seem like less of a challenge to get out and go on that adventure.

Our team of nannies is not only there for the families we serve to get a good night of uninterrupted sleep, but we also love guiding and educating parents, offering helpful resources on everything from sleep routines and swaddling to nursery setup and best-sellers.
